I got my first bolt action today.

I was just looking at an Enfield N4M1 at the local trading post thats been there for atleast a month. $116. I might just have to give in get it a nice home... Mine

I just got a No.4 Mk.2 It was wrapped in paper and covered in Cosmoline. Not as bad as I first thought, but I still have some cleaning to do. I really don't feel comfortable taking it all apart, can I clean it ok without doing so? Let us know how you like shooting yours, I'll do the same. Thanks

Taking it apart wasn't that bad. All you need is a couple of screwdrivers. Once you take the two clamps on the barrel off and the trigger gaurd assembly the furniture comes right off. I sprayed what was left with brake cleaner and swabbed out the barrel real good before wiping it all down. I put it all back together and am ready to go shooting.

Cool9mm, Did you take the front clamp(site) off also? And then disassemble all the wood parts from the metal? Thanks

I took off the clamp in the middle with the sling loop on it, the clamp behind the sight and the sight gaurd itself but that's all. I actually left the stock attached to what was left.
