That's right i recieved my xd service model .40 back from springfield about 2 hours ago and i even got to shoot it at the range to test it out. 1st let me put out the chain of events and the background.
1) as everyone has already read about i am sure my xd trigger bar broke, so i sent it in for repair!
2) sa is a great company and really treated me good, i couldn't ask for better service. i am very happy with them and the outcome. sorry back on track. they recieved the gun the 21st of march.
3) i recived it today and it looks brand new.
4) they refinished the slide inside and out with the armor coat. as you will be able to see from the pics. they did a great job and it looks better than it did new. they also did all the other metal parts, trigger, grip safety, mag release the pins, dissasembly latch which i think they actually replaced all together because it is quite tight.
5) they also installed trijicon 3 dot green night sights, which yes did cost me, but cheaper than i can get it done around here.
6) again i am very happy.
At The Range.
1) i took it to the range, there was already a good coat of lube on it from them. i fired 212rds total, had a few light primer strikes but that was the ammo and i know it.
2) it shot great like always and was amazingly accurate, like always. i love the night sights, but who dosen't.
3) i put the xd through all the drills that would be allowed in the little indoor range and all was well and she was back to normal just the way i like it.
4) i love it! what else is there to say.
conclusion!
though the xd did break i am a very happy customer of sa and will continue to be so and own sa weapons for a lifetime i am sure. there are already more that i want. if the customer service would have been bad then i would probally never own another. they are a great company and they take of the customer, i am proud to be an xd owner times 2. buy form sa with confidence they make great weapons and they back up there work.
oh crap i almost forgot the pics!
