I had a little run in with a school bus driver

I was standing against a fence when he pulled up, when I stepped away from the fence the wind blew my coat back, exposing my weapon for a moment. He saw it and opened the bus door, came out waving his arms and used some profanity, what the F is this about? If you think I'm gonna let your Grand kid or any other kid off this bus with you wearing that gun, your nuts. I didn't have an opportunity to even respond, he just turned around and headed back onto the bus while yelling "I'm calling the sheriff. He wasn't worried about my intentions, he just didn't want me wearing, period. If he had been concerned about the kids he should have just kept going and then call LE. Why would you stop, and and then get out of the bus if you think a guy with a gun has ill intentions? That would be about the worst decision, considering he is responsible for them. So I didn't even have an opportunity to address his concerns at all.

I can just about imagine what would have happened if I would have attempted to create a dialog. I just said I'm here to pick up my grand daughter, and that was it. He had already made up his mind about calling LE, so I just stepped back against the fence and waited for LE to arrive, which only took about 1 or 2 minutes. When I explained to the LEO what happened, and it been had confirmed with the driver's version, the LEO just told me to maybe try and conceal better in the future, but that by no means have I violated any laws. The LEO told the driver everything is fine and to just let the kids off, that was about it.

I would have been more than happy to try and apologize for the incident, but some folks just don't want to hear it if conflicts with their anti agenda, which was crystal clear, IMO. I still gave him a friendly wave when he pulled away afterward.

Stuff like this makes me thankful to live in a state where I can CC or Open carry almost anywhere. Courtrooms, airports and the like are off limits of course but schools are no problem.

And open carry advocates wonder why some people don't want to open carry.

I don't think anybody wonders why some people don't want to open carry.

Some open carriers do wonder why concealed carriers tell them they shouldn't open carry.

?????
The OP lives in AZ, which, thanks to "constitutional carry", has far fewer carry regs than almost everywhere else, including Utah. The issue isn't where he lives, it is the reaction of the bus driver.
