I've gone to using GT-5000 grip tape. I hope an amazon link is acceptable here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C7WXTJS/
Here's PPQ done up with it. It's a lot tougher than Talon's material. and forms and adheres excellently. I use a heat gun (hair dryer would work fine) to heat it up a little before applying and then more thoroughly after application to allow forming it exactly to the gun's features. It comes in wide strips, and you can get it to do about whatever you want pretty easily. On the PPQ I did the backstrap separate from the rest of the grip - it is removable without disturbing the tape one iota. It's not as tacky as some, but I found it helps most plastic pistols immensely nonetheless. Truly ideal for concealed carry. You can blast it with harsh solvents and it goes nowhere. And at 10 bucks per 6 big strips, it's dirt cheap. You can do a several handguns with 6 strips.
There's a billion (well, 485) user reviews on Amazon to check out, complete with pictures.
