My grandpa recently passed away and gave me his shotgun. i wondered about the origins of this gun and how much it is worth. its marked "springfield s.stevens arms company chicopee falls mass. u.s.a.

It's from your grandfather. Therefore it is worth more than any money you'd get for it.

Ditto what 19-3Ben said. This gun is a priceless artifact of your family history. Moreover, you asked in the wrong forum; this is the rifle forum. Serious shotgunners may never click on this forum.

It's worth whatever you want it to be. If you would not dream of selling it for a million dollars, then it's a million dollar plus shotgun. Whatever you do, NEVER SELL IT!
