I too have libertarian principles but find myself unable to deal with the realities of open borders and the alleged blessings of globalized commerce, of American Empire and nation-building that is focused on other nations, not our own.
What we are all groping for is some kind of enlightened nationalism that honors the core principles on which America was founded. It's forming, slowly but surely.
