I Have This Old Benchmade

I've had this folder for years, it was my first Benchmade. OAL is 8.5 inches, blade length is 3.75. The round decals on the grippy handle have the butterfly logo and say "Balisong." The Blade is marked "Benchmade Knife Co." on one side and "Made in the USA on the other. Any idea how old this knife is? Any value to it? As always, sorry for the bad photography...

It's from the Benchmade "Monarch" series, IIRC late 80's early 90's. Not sure on current value though, I think they ran about $50.00 new.
