Wasn't there a discount deal going on? I'd consider going full gusto onto a life membership if the price is right.
My main objection to the NRA's stances is this "we give them an inch, they'll take a mile attitude". I waitied till I was in my 40's to get my pistol permit -including the 9 month wait, fingerprinting, interviews, mental health checks ad nauseum that is required in New York. I have absolutely no problem with going through this because it was required where I live to do so and I can only carry under strict circumstances.

Do you understand that the situation you live in isn't either the way it is in a good portion of the country, nor the way it was supposed to be? Would you still have no problem if you could excercise your rights without health checks, interviews, etc.?
