Got to fire a G26 the other day. Not the first time I've shot my Glock, but it was the first time I was really "paying attention", so to speak. I really don't understand what the big deal with the trigger is. Seemed fine to me. Squeeze, bang, rinse, repeat. I have smaller hands, so despite the subcompact size of the gun it fit me well. Recoil was also surprisingly manageable. I'm finding out I'm not really recoil sensitive, though.

Also shot a Kimber full-size. Love 1911s, too... .45 is a fun round, I love the "whump" feeling it gives. Both guns worked flawlessly (which means nothing as I only fired a couple mags through each, but the owner reported the same for each of his outings.)

Glad to hear it.
If you ever get a chance, try a Glock 20-10mm.
It's a great sensation, you can feel the power, but the recoil is smooth and even without any sting. Accuracy is fantastic.

I would love to fire the '20, because I am quite excited by the paper ballistics of 10mm as well as the field reports I have read. I really like the idea of a medium-size cartridge going pretty damn fast.

I just got back from shooting:

150 rounds thru Glock 19

150 rounds thru Glock 20

150 rounds thru Kimber TLE II

No jams with any of them. Good accuracy with all three. I just got new hi caps for the Glocks for CDNN.

Personally, the G19 is my favorite for carry and all around shooting... Its kind of hard to give a silhouette a quick Mozambique with the G20.

I love .45s. I love Glocks. SO when Glock came out with the Model 30 (which fits my hand better than the 21) I was hooked.

I still want my own 1911A1.

PO2hammer,
What is the recoil of the 20 compared to the 22? How does that compare to a 1911? What kind of accuracy can you get out of the 20?
Thanks
Ss

I really like my G26 too! I will probably like my G22 more once I get my upgrade parts, 9mm Barrel, and some trigger stuff, just to make it more fun!

Although I once mocked Glocks and swore that I'd never own one myself, I've grown quite attached to my pre-ban Glock 19. (Why the previous owner put it on consignment I'll never know, but I'm eternally grateful that they did!) As a matter of fact it has not only become my constant bedside companion, but is dangerously close to replacing the Smith&Wesson Model 642 as my "always" gun for around the house.

Every once in a while I miss my Glock 20.

Then I remember how much money I was spending to feed that thing! :what:

G19 works for me. :)

I have to agree with PO2Hammer. The Glock 20 10mm is a thing of beauty.

I've had one for 10 or so years and it never failed me, either in function or accuracy.

When I had to send the gun to Glock for an update, the turn around time was 1 day! Awesome gun, awesome manufacturer support, and good round.

Now, if people would just dump 9mm as a fav round, and go 10mm, maybe the ammo price would drop. LOL

I liked my G26 when I had it but I ended up selling it because I figured that I would get a 19 with the regular capacity magazines now.

However, I love my 30. It's the gun that has never had a malfunction and is very accurate. It's the only gun that I think that I could ever love. :)
