Hey THR-ers, I finally got to the range today and I wanted to see what my 925 could do at 50yds with different 22 LR ammo i had. I was pretty surprised. The fiocchi ammo yielded awesome groups, but 2 shots didnt go where i had intended. I had a couple choice words after i squeezed the trigger. It was a very nice day at about 55 degrees F, a pretty strong wind, but nothing too major. Its a marlin 925 22 LR, floated barrel, and a Simmons ProSport 4X32 scope. Its a pretty inexpensive setup, but very satisfactory. Thoughts or opinions?

I used to own the M25. Wow! What a rifle, and never should have sold it.

My first rifle was a Marlin 25, a 16th b'day gift from Dad, I loved it, but sold it a few years back to get a paintball marker, which gathers dust now (stupid, stupid MacTech), but a few months back I found another 25 in great shape, so I picked it up, and now I have "my first gun" back again

The Marlin 25 series are definitely shooters, my 25 can do dime sized groups and one-holers at 50Y if I do my part, shoots just as good as my more expensive CZ 452 Trainer

It's sporting a Bushnell Trophy 4-12X 40mm AO scope now, (yes, the scope cost more than the gun, what of it ;) ), it's worth it, it's a great shooter, and this one won't get sold off this time

Hold on to that 925, they're great shooters, incidentally, how is the 900 series trigger group on your gun, my 25's trigger group leaves a little to be desired and is the only thing I don't like on the gun, my CZ 452 has the YoDave trigger shim kit and breaks at a clean 16 oz pull, so I'm spoiled there ;)

Cool, what kind of marker did you get? I used to be huge in to paintball, but have since moved to real guns. lol
This thing is surprisingly accurate for a non heavy/target barrel. I put a pen spring in the trigger, it breaks super crisp, and I couldnt be happier with it. Now I just need some better optics..

I have a 925M, the .22 Mag version and love it. It gets very good groups (a bit tighter than the ones in the pic) with iron sights at 50 yards. And I just love the "crack" that the .22 Mag makes when it goes off!
