I might be going crazy! can't seem to rationalize a new gun, please help!

Good suggestions, keep them coming. Along the lines of a brush gun, I was wondering about a Ruger M77 scout rifle in either .338 federal or .308 win? Seems like it would make a great brush gun. You think it would be more practial or less than a Marlin Guide gun in 45-70 out to 200 yards. Mostly used for whitetail, but I might take it elk or moose hunting in the thicker stuff too.

Maybe the first priority would be to get the pistol though while I can.

V is probably right that the AK will probably be the first rifle to go and I should get one while I can.

Justify, schmusitfy. I buy things because I want them. Can't always afford them, but I stopped trying to rationalize buying things I lay in bed a night and fantasize about (no, not women; too old for that). I know my actions may sound rash and foolhardy. Still, there is a .22LR lever gun out there with my name on it, somewhere.
