Did you also modify the recoil shield? I often read of this needing to be done (creating a larger channel) to help ensure caps don't bind up the cylinder.
Sorry, I don't know. They have all been done by GoonsGunworks. I just know they run like Swiss Watches.
 
I did not enlarge the channel only took off the sharp edge eased the angle where it starts.

I'd love to see a pic if you don't mind.

It sure seems, from what I've read, that an Uberti Colt needs quite a bit of work to run fairly smoothly. But it also seems a Pietta needs some too. I'm no gunsmith but did find I can do some more simple work making my Pietta Remington NMA work well and load conicals.

However there's a few thing I'm interested in that I'd prefer someone else do such as a dovetail for a sight/lever latch, bobbing a hammer, and rounding a butt.
