Went shooting with a friend and neighbor yesterday and couldn't get the sights to lower enough the bring the point of impact to the center of the paper plate. Round ball ahead of wad and 777, at 50 or so feet. I guess it's time for rear sight surgery as I've been shown, but mercy I still want to come up with a bead front . Don

Yeah, the rear sight surgery is much easier to implement, cheaper to do, and easier to revert back to the factory original if you change your mind later.

I made a new, higher front sight from key stock and pinned it in place. Nice patridge blade.

Round brass rod piece & JB weld will add what you need in height to the fropnt site and is easlly removed.

Ruger sells a higher sight along with a new pin. Makes me wonder why they put such a low sight on in the first place.
