I dont really see an issue with the upside down carry handle...things too damn heavy to carry like that for very long, id kinda doubt its meant for continuous use.

If you are carrying that rifle folded and upside down by the handle that scope will be at the ground side, bottom of the rifle to hit what your walking or climbing over.

Don’t drop your rifle so much.

Lots of rifles have had carry handles for a long, long time. It’s not common, because it’s not terribly useful on most rifles, but plenty of big, heavy rifles have incorporated carry handles.

Plus, it’s picatinny mounted, removable. Don’t have to cry about it, just don’t buy the accessory or don’t attach it if you don’t want it.

Your funny. The light M16 had one. Plus many squad weapons had them that didn't use scope type optics.. BUT, THEY WERE ON THE TOP. But we're talking about the stupid placement on this particular expensive one which has no open sights and needs some type of optic that will be at ground level unprotected.

When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be some amazing looking rifle of figured wood and case color hardened finish. But...just another tacticool-ish military rifle. <shrug>

Probably eye candy to people who like that sort of thing.

Those rifles look aspirational. Really too heavy for shoot-n-move drills for the bench-bound donut-stuffers on this board … unless maybe you’re talking about the rare type who actually gets cardio 3x a week by running and does strength-training at a gym.

Heavy precision sticks are cool and super-accurate, but they’re a lot of work in the field. Off the bench, not so much.

I imagine there are plenty of combat situations where a very accurate, powerful, long distance rifle might be appreciated.

I also know most shooters can’t run their .22lr to the limits of the gun or cartridge, let alone a highly precise, highly expensive, trick tactical rifle. I include myself in that category. But that doesn’t mean they’re not fun anyway.

If I won the lottery I might buy one just because. Until then… probably not.

How on earth did we get from, here's a new 15 lbs bench gun to running shoot and move drills?!

Some of y'all need to go back and read the Code of Conduct and seriously think about whither you can abide by it or not. Otherwise find a different board. If the name calling and desegregation of other members, or anyone else for that matter, continues I will make the decision for you. This is creating far too much heat and far too little light. We are done.
