I think I have a problem with my new XDM

I picked up a new fullsize XDM, and I have taken it to the range a few times and every time I also am shooting left, the last time I was at the range I noticed that as I shoot my rear sight moves to the left and it fell out of the grove once. Does anyone know if the rear sight is suppossed to be attached any other way then sliding in the dovetail ? Does anyone have any suggestions of how to fix it ?

The gun comes with a very good warranty, I would use it. No sense in screwing the gun up trying to fix it and voiding your warranty, leave it to a professional.

I agree with mtlucas. SA has a very good warranty dept. Send it back, it sounds like a very "quick" repair. plus they will shoot and sight it in for you. good luck!

Sorry i can't answer on the XD specifics, but since it is just the rear sight, it may be easier just to send the slide??

I've had a gun that did that. They will simply tighten the crimp on the sight and it will be fine.

clamp the gun in a vice good and tight, then get you a hammer and a screwdriver and ping the dovetial down tight against the sight or just send the slide back

Send it back Springfield will fix it beside they might send you some free stuff for the inconvence.
