Made an error in my first post...the Model 28-2 was $650 out the door....an unfired ANIB Model 58 I bought at the same time was $800. Sorry for the error.

How recent were those prices? I'm looking at $750 (firm) for one. Regional price variation can affect this sort of thing too. I have some pandemic purchases on backorder that could be canceled to free up some funds if I decide to move forward.

The prices are about 2-2.5 yrs ago, but were from a great store in New Mexico. The guns came from an estate sale. Also got an unfired 3" 657 wearing combats for $800, and unfired ANIB Model 18-3 (can't remember price). Also snagged an ANIB 539 and a ANIB 559 (nickel). Kind of a jackpot.

Bought my dad one 40 years ago for $239.

He hardly shot it, died a few years later and it has been my bear load .357 ever since. I pair it with a Pedersoli .357 pump.

Some of my Smith wheel guns are just as good as I can possibly imagine. This is one.
