That is the gun S&W put on the Hy and run a semi over it then shot it! One heck of a gun I have one.

Dad carried one as a deputy sheriff back in the '60's-early '70's, but he traded it off for a model 19. He later had the opportunity to buy a 28 from the county for a steal, but didn't see the point to it at the time (he regretted that later in life). I recently picked up a 28 in beautiful condition. It shoots dead center and makes me look like a better shot than I am...

I sold my first model 28 and bought a model 19. It was easier to carry without all that weight. Wish S&W would have mentioned that the 19 wasn't designed for a steady diet of mag ammo. Eventually sold the 19 and bought another 28.
