I took my new M44 Mosin Nagant to the range of Friday so heres the Range Report with some pictures.
I went out to the range with about 250 rounds planning to shoot it at 50 and 100 yards and try to figure out which of my spare bolts had the best headspacing. Well I ran out of time to shoot at 100 yards but I did shoot about 125 rounds from 50 yards. I found out that with Brown Bear 185grain FMJ in shoots low so I adjusted accordingly until I was hitting close the bullseye, it also shoots low with Silver Bear Match Ammo 203grain SP but it shoots much tighter. I eventully figured out which of my spare bolts has the best headspacing but I ran out of time to shoot it with good bolt or from anywhere farther 50 yards. I did not give the rifle time to cool other then the occasional trip down range to but up some more targets and to reload. I dd not shoot the targets in numerical order
