Took out my new 7.62 x 39 yugo build and shot 5.5" group at 50 yards with wolf ammo.. Switched to brown bear and shot a 3/4" group. I have gotten used to the brown bear shooting a group about 1/3rd the size of the wolf, but this was amazing!

If you can find some Finnish Lapua 7.62X39 try this.
My Egyptian AKM will routinely shoot into 2 inches benchrested at 100 meters with this stuff.
Everything else I have tried shoots 5.5"-8" groups at this range.
My experience with AK type rifles is that they can be effective to 400 meters provided you can actually hit what you are shooting at with one and that AK rifle is rare indeed.

The other brown bear group was about 1.5". The wolf 122 fmj was about 5". I ran out of the brown bear, the main purpose of shooting was to determine point of impact change useing an ar- 15 flash hider. The poi did change, and the tightest group of the day was with the hider.Oddly enough, without anymuzzle device the front sight had to go way over to print on target. With the ar hider in place, it looks like I will have to move the sight right back to center.
I would like to try some 154 grain wolf, and see how it does.
I am convinced that altho the AK is not as accurate as a good AR, that a lot of the bad rap is due to ammo issues and sights.

I haven't tried much of the Brown Bear stuff. But I've shot cases of Wolf through my Rommie without a problem. Accuracy is about 5 inches at 100 yards, and easily COM out to 200 yards, at least. Good enough for what I need it for.

+1 on the Lapua loaded ammo, I tried every possible combination of .311 bullet, case and powder, and could never equal factory Lapua 7.62x39mm.
