I would like to see these 60 dollar marlins. I have not seen a used 60 for under $125 in years unless it is a total basketcase.

I have a line on a 10/22 carbine too with a scope for $240 out the door. I may pick that up too.

You can never have too many .22's. Plus Ill be able to retire a few that probably shouldnt be used as much.

i just got a 10/22 friday and went to the range with it that night. i was able to group my shots in a 1 or 2 inch group with the iron sights and standing. i know it sucks but my aim is terrible(really really terrible) so this seems fine to me. my stance isn't all that steady either.

Mypps, in my mind there's no better way to get better at those things than to use up a whole lot of .22 ammo while working to improve. It sounds like you're taking the right approach.

I picked up the Marlin 60 today. Looks like its 12 years old since the first two digits in the serial are 97. Hmmm no wait... that would make this a 2003. Is that right?

Still all in all its clean and for $100 out the door I couldnt beat it.

In fact, I didnt even pay for it yet. Yes, thats the kind of relationship I have with my local gun purveyor.

Ill shoot it tonight and Im sure it will be just fine.

You did fine. Enjoy it. There's always someone who found an amazing steal bla bla. A clean model working model in front of you is well worth $100. Wow, nice gun shop your working with! Monthly tab ? ;)

LOL I have bought almost every gun I own from this guy. The owner is my friend. Very cool family man who also plays guitar. Since Im a celebrity around town (LOL not really) because I travel a bit in a band I go in and play the guitars he has in the shop.

Its a pawn shop but he also sells new guns. Ive bought some new and some used. I get a deal everytime.

I ran a few hundred through it tonight by the fire without even one hiccup.
