I want a Thompson

I am also a previous owner of one. They are great fun, and mine would have made a fine defensive tool, and the .45 carries plenty of punch at carbine ranges. But I sold it. In my mind, an M-1 Carbine, while lacking some of the punch, is waaaay more practical. Stoke it with soft points, and I think it would do the job.

Any other owners of a full auto Thompson who want to be former owners? I am in the wannabe an owner camp. Probably next year I will be in the want to be former owner category, but that's commerce, right?

I am a past owner as well. The 16 inch barrel seems out of place on the Thompson IMHO. Mine never missed a beat when it came to function, however it just seemed awkward to shoulder and fire.
