I do not know why but I really like the idea and looks of a Winchester 9410 shotgun. Since the factory shutdown, they have been hard to find and quite expensive.
Last gunshow in Pasadena, a vendor was selling Model 94's for a grand!!! Amazing and I hope he likes them a lot.
Yesyerday, I stopped by Gander Mountain in NW Houston to find some foam ear plugs. They did not have the kind I wanted
BUT
There were two 9410's on the rack for $599. Yeah, that is expensive but it is not too much inflated since the shutdown. I went home and thought about it.
I went back and picked it up. :)
It is really a nice long gun. It is a Packer with the shorter barrel. 5 rounds up the tube and 1 ine th chamber. Paco Kelly over on leverguns.com tested on, shooting a slug at a stump. It was devastating to the stump.
I really do not have a need for one but lever guns are so cool. I also have a Model 94 in .44 Mag

As I live in a major metropolitan area, the amount of utility is definitely low. But as I age and retire, the fun factor will be greatly enhance with a home in the country.
I did buy it more for the fun factor and its being one of the last weapons to come out of the Winchester factory.
Even though there are better rifles, I would love to have a 9422 also; just because. Oh yeah and I need a 30-30 and a 38-55 and a 25-35.

well, under chapter 3, subsection C paragraph 19. "all "new Purchase" threads must contain picture of said Puchase, else the poster be tar'ed and feathered"
