ID This Ammo

I recently puchased what the dealer marked as South African 7.62X51 NATO ammo.

It is 7.62X51 but it doesn't have the Circle/Cross NATO marking.

What it does have on the base are these markings - R1M1 7.62 and what looks like A80.

If this stuff is really South African I'm not concerned - everything I've read says it is good stuff. I know it isn't Portugese because that stuff does have the NATO symbol.

Can anyone verify that what I've got is really SA 7.62X51 . If it isn't what is it?

The one I'm looking at says B 81, instead of A 80, but otherwise identical. The B 81 number appears to be a lot number, as it's stamped on the outside of the box, too.

"...it doesn't have the Circle/Cross NATO marking..." It wouldn't. South Africa isn't part of NATO.
