Idea of value

I have a couple of S&W revolvers that I have owned for more than 20 years. Looking for an idea of what they are worth.

Model 17 22lr 6 shot 6" barrel blue steel like new condition in original box with cleaning kit unused. Blonde wood grips. Only has a couple hundred shots through it.

Model 66 357 magnum 6 shot 6" barrel stainless steel like new condition in original box with cleaning kit unused. Blonde wood grips. Only has a couple hundred shots through it.

Supposed value on the 17 is probably about $350-500.
The real world value is $600+

The 66 is likely $500+ I've seen some agency trade-in -1s locally for $450.

Just my opinion.

What variation of the 66 do you have?

66 (no dash)
66-1
66-2
etc...

It has a 356 or B56 above the model number but no dash.

Any idea as to Serial Number?

Is the front and/or rear sights all stainless?

Might be an early one.

Serial number is AZB8439

Front sight is stainless steel with an orange/red rectangular dot. Rear sight is adjustable in blue steeel.

I got this gun new 20+ years ago.

Must be newer than mine, inside the crane does it look anything like this on the 66?
