Hey folks, was wondering if anyone could help me identify this safe manufacture. The big problem is its in a truck bed laying down and door weighs so much I cannot open it without unloading it, thus i cannot inspect the inside for manufacture tags or even look at the quality of construction.

What I do know:

It has no brand name on the safe exterior, i think the stickers/pin stripping wore off. The key + combo lock itself says "Unican" and is located high center of the safe.

The handle is readily removable as it just has a large allen shank that keys into the safe door and allows for unlocking of the lugs. The rest of the handles gold and L shaped.

A big difference between all the imagines online of china/usa made safes and this one is the hinge design is unique. The hinge is external and goes the entire length of the door, slightly sunken into the door/body and looks to be permanent due to the top of the hinges being welded/closed off. My boss says the door is incredibly heavy and hard to move even when upright.

I asked my boss to inspect the inner edge of the door frame area to see if it was boxed or folded over but he couldn't tell since it was upholstered. (he purchased from a, "getting even with my wife" property liquidation/estate sale)

Its 72"x46.25"x26.25" and three large men were able to tilt it into the bed of the truck, then they barely were able to lift the bottom up to push it in which would suggest its probably not the 1400-1600 lbs i've seen most real safes of similar dimensions weigh in at although the truck susp. is pretty much sacked out. Would they be able to move a real safe like this?

Decently small gap around the door, the floor pan seems to be way more solid then the cheapo safe i bought.

Any thoughts? Does someone happen to know the manufacture? Does it look/sound like a cheapo safe or a good one? Sorry about the pictures, i thought identifying it would of been easier but I haven't had any luck so im here to call upon the wisdom of The High Road!

As a guy who moved furniture as a job for a short while, I can say that one person can move a 2000 pound safe if it’s balanced well and he knows what he’s doing. The truck suspension is a better gage of weight that the “three guys could barely put it in the truck” gage.
