ronlt55: Your first gun is a .38 Military & Police Model of 1905 4th change. The serial number comes after the introduction of heat treated cylinders at serial number 316648. I've read that heat treating began in 1917, 1919 & 1920. Which is correct I don't know, but it's safe to say your gun was made around that time frame.
Your second gun would need a K in front of the serial number to be a Model 18 / .22 combat Masterpiece. If there is no prefix and is on a smaller frame then it is a model 34 Kit Gun.
If the serial number is K393xx then it was made in 1948 and is a K22 Combat Masterpiece, but this model was introduced in 1949, so that can't be correct.
I the serial number is 393xx then it is a model 34, the model of 1953 .22/32 Kit Gun and dates from 1955 to 1959. If there is no model number stamped on the frame beneath the crane then it dates from 1955 to 1957.
