If a medium K frame, then it's a .38 Military & Police Model of 1905 4th change, manufactured between 1927 & 1930. The barrel probably isn't original, IIRC the first snubbie K frame was around 1938. There should be a fifth screw in front of the trigger guard. The right side of the frame should be stamped Made in USA.
If a small I frame, with round butt, then it is a .32 Hand Ejector third Model manufactured between 1927 & 1942. As above, the barrel will have been cut down. Originally the barrel was marked .32 long CTG on the left side.
If a small I frame and square butt, then it is a .32 Regulation Police. Again it has been cut down. The serial number will be stamped on the front strap of the frame instead of the bottom. There will be a patent date on the bottom of the grips and a notch in the backstrap of the frame to accept the round to square butt conversion grips.
