I've been wanting to head up to Augusta for an IDPA match for a couple years now, and this Sat. the Capital City club is having an IDPA clinic followed by a 3 stage mini-match.

So I'm feverishly pulling the lever on the re-loading press and hoping I get my MIdway order with extra magazines delivered by Friday.

Feel like a kid who's about to play in my first hockey game again... :D

Now if I can just convince my buddy at work that his car can wait a week to get the oil changed, I might have someone to talk to on the ride up.

I'll be shooting my stainless Commander and was wondering if I really should put some rubber bumpers on my mag. bases.

If you plan to shoot regularly, your mags are going to get scuffed up. No point in trying to avoid it, if that is what you are trying to do with the "rubber bumpers"? Just pick 3 or 4 and designate them "magazines for actual use".:)

Other than that, it is about as much fun as you can have with your pants on, so enjoy...

The base pads are more to insure positive insertion and seating without pinching your hand under the floorplate. They are a definite advantage on the reload.
