I don't condone the racial/political message that the book, "the turner diaries" promotes.

But... with great certainty, there would be insurgent type war fare through out this country, just like in the book and the movie "red dawn"

I hate to use a racist book and an old movie as examples, but they do show the results of what I believe would happen.

What percentage will hand in thier "duck-guns" so they can keep living thier sheltered life? Sad to say, but I believe the majority will be with the later. Still, I belive ther would be enough people will take up arms to make an effective stand.

It might be more exciting than video games, you never know. Maybe the bored kids will take to it.

Been many moons since I've seen Red Dawn. I've heard of Turner Diaries, but stayed away from it. I might check it out.

Also, what percentage of gunowners nationwide will decide to stand and fight?

I hope we never have to find out.

OK. As a former Marine infantryman, I resent that. The people I know on this board who are former military, current military, and peace officers resent that. That is simply crap.

Q: Would the US government use the military to put down a rebellion or insurrection in the conus, and would the military comply?
A: See Whiskey Rebellion and Bonus March.

Those of you quoting the Whiskey rebellion should read up on just how hard it was for Washington and Hamilton to raise the military to send off on this endeavor. It was extremely difficult. I suggest Mr Hogeland's most recent book from 2006.
