Preferably a pump for reliability. Barrel length about 18 or 19 inches. Ghost ring sights are a plus. Pistol grip. Obtain one where magazine extensions are available. at least a 7 round capacity. Loaded with T or F shot (.20 and .22) maybe #1 buck(.24) Small pellets high shot count to minimize wall penetration and overtravel. Hell, #4 shot is good at standard combat ranges, makes a ragged hole.

I'd have to reach for my two "go-to" firearms - my 1911 and my AK-47.

There are newer, "better" firearms out there, but those two fall into the "see it - shoot it" category for me.

Got in too late for the poll, but probably a 12ga pump shotgun (Rem 870) and a .22 handgun (either a Ruger MkII or a S&W revolver).

If I could only have one gun, it would be a 12ga Remington 870. That's the most reliable gun I know of and a 12ga is also the most versatile. I know of virtually NOTHING that can't be hunted with a 12ga by varying ammo used.

If I had to add on just one more gun for a 2nd it would be a 9mm handgun. My current favorite is the M&P but I'm a little less picky on the brand/model here as long as its one of the reliable ones (of which there are many on the market these days).

If I could have even one gun, it would be a smoothbore flintlock muzzleloader. Can't get much more versatile than that. For a second gun I'd take a Mosin-Nagant M39, as they're really nice to shoot, ammo is readily available, and they also have historic value.

Due to the laws where I live, I will not have either.
