Those clowns are very lucky she wasn't armed. If that wasn't a good shoot I don't know what is. I would have never for a second believed they where repossion people.

I would have never for a second believed they where repossion people.
And I don't, for a second, believe that they are or were. Anybody who tries to reposess a car without any semblance of certifying document, while the driver is in the car, and ends up running the driver into a tree is a car thief. That has been this jerk's business the whole time, it's just the first time he was blatant about it.

Not trying to cast aspersions on legitimate repo men who are lawfully reposessing property, but who is going to know about taking cars without the owner's consent, car thieves, or rocket scientists?

I can definitely attest to the fact that many people in the pre-med route have massive illusions of grandeur considering their complete incompetence. But if these repo guys continue their business practices as-is, their illusions of survival into middle age are no smaller. If it were me in the same circumstance, the lead would have flown. What a couple of inbred morons... :banghead:

Repo guys around here all drive tow trucks. They don't carjack the drivers, they just hook up at 3:00 a.m. and take it away. Most have a string of "eyes" who cruise around with a list of the cars on the current sheet, and who call in when they spot one in a location that looks like it can be "hooked" without involving major problems.

I'm not saying I disagree, but would that have been a good shoot?
It doesn't mention the men brandishing weapons- unless you count their vehicle...
I'm assuming those suggesting to shoot, would do so when the men exited the vehicle. What is the justification? Fear of the two men killing you will their fists? I just wonder if the victim would then be arrested for murder.
No saying that such a situation may not warrent shooting, but I'd worry over being charged/convicted.

Additionally, why were the repo guys not charged w/grand theft auto?

That's knife-fighting range -- that close, a ball-peen hammer is more deadly than an M1911. In fact there were US Army tests around 1911 which said that exactly.

Two large men running me off the road is most definitely a threat to life and limb, if only for the accident they just caused.
