If your wife...

The R8 Professional kit comes with Zeiss glass. And a sling and Pelikan case.

I'd spend it on the biggest, best safe I could get. Because I need a safe, I don't need any more rifles. Honestly.

Also, new to this forum stuff...how do you post a photo of this "rifle"... (or the wife buying it for you...just kidding)
..or how to include in a "post" any pic?

A military rifle that went up against the Garand in the 1930's military trials for a new service rifle. A semi 30-06 with a rotary internal magazine you loaded from the right side, 10 rounds. The Marines tried a few in the Pacific Theater, many went to Canada and the Dutch. Google it for pics.

I'm starting to think a LaRue "suitcase" Rifle...the PredatOBR...
...can get it and a nice scope for about $3500.

you my friend, need a lever gun or 2. a model 94? what about a 336? i personally would buy an 1895 winchester in .405.

are you limited to one gun? if not then an 1895, CMR-30, k-31 and an enfield

or.... an 1895 and a luger.... but then again those of just 2 of the guns on the top of my dream list

assuming I had a perfect wife like that, I would get me a Seekins Precision CBR(top tier AR15 variant). since the CBR itself only costs about $2200 after tax but only comes in 223-wylde, I would likely frankenstien it with another AR15 of mine, converting the caliber to 6.5 grendel and replacing the handguard with a diamondheadUSA VRS-T and trading the pistol grip for a hogue. that would leave me little over $1300 on optics. I would likely get a Nightforce SHV 5-2x56 scope and a one piece weaver base. not a bad 3500 setup if I do say so. it would also have the side effect of greatly improving the value of my other AR15 as well as it would have a very expensive seekins handguard and would be chambered in 223 wylde.

Only one rifle? A Model 70 in .458 Win Mag. A pre '64 is probably a few bucks more than $3,500, so I'll take an FNH built one instead.

...handed you $3,500. of her "mad money", and she said;
" your such a great husband, go buy a special Rifle..."
What would you get?
I would by her a better car.

That situation is like "Fine, go, have fun" to the 10th power...

On second thought, I have wanted a M1A Scout for a few years...

I'd buy a tacted out Remingtonn 700 .300 Win Mag with the Accuracy International stock, the best glass I could get, match trigger, tac bolt, bipod, Badger Ordinance detachable box magazine system, the works!

FN SCAR17S.

Although if my wife did hand me that kind of money just to blow on guns, I would be highly suspicious:p

I would finish the 338LM that I've been building for the last 3 years... but if I didn't have that going on, I'd get a lathe and related tools.
