When you find out, let me know..
Too bad/sad about this. How is one to know which is the legal way to transport
a firearm ? Once again the law-abiding firearm enthusiast is made into
a possible law-breaker just for enjoying/utilizing the 2nd Amendment.
Chi-SunTimes said:
SPRINGFIELD. -- State lawmakers gave the Blagojevich administration a big victory Thursday, blocking an attempt to resurrect a gun measure and forcing lawmakers to acknowledge that two other gun bills are likely dead, too.

An effort to override Gov. Blagojevich's veto of a law regarding transportation of guns fell just short of success. The vote was 67-44, but the override needed 71 votes to pass.

The sponsor said a public relations and lobbying blitz by the governor, law enforcement and gun control advocates has stalled the gun bills.

''The pressure was amazing, no doubt about it,'' said Rep. Brandon Phelps (D-Norris City). ''As of right now, they're dead.''

The measure that failed Thursday would have barred communities from enacting their own regulations for transporting weapons. The effect would have been to create one statewide standard on how to store guns when driving from place to place.

All I can see is keep trying. And avoid cities/countys that restrict your gun rights.

3 "Present" and that RINO Pihos (Glen Ellyn)-excused absence. Those four would have been enough to override.

Pihos normally votes with the Chicago Dems, she needs to be replaced.

Those four would have been enough to override.

Four moral and intellectual cowards prevented the citizens of Illinois from exercising some of their Constitutionally guaranteed civil rights.

At the very least, they should be fired from their overpaid state jobs.

unfortunate

So very sad, hopefully the voters come out in droves. For once, this is pretty good bipartisan stuff for the right cause. Too bad some didn't have the guts to do the right thing.
