I'm considering updating my reloading apparatus

I've been using a Rock Chucker for years. I don't load in high volume so it's been fine. Recently, though I added a RCBS automatic powder measure/dispenser. I realize you need to verify its accuracy but so far I find it has really improved the reloading process. No one on this post seems to have mentioned using this piece of equipment, I wonder how many people do use these.

My RCBS Chargemaster is a dream come true for my rifle reloading on my Rockchucker and LCT.

I am sure other brands of automatic powder measures also work well.

This wasn't love at first sight, but...

Guys, I think I'm in love.

I hadn't noticed her at first, and she's not that popular. She's not that pretty either.
But my eyes saw that extra "je ne sais quoi" I was looking for all along.

I'm so happy my car lit that "engine check" light the other day ! And that burnt oil smell was the very beginning of my new happy reloader life.

All cast iron, tightly adjusted and such a noble heritage I'd cry if any of you guys told me she's got the tiniest plastic implant.
I couldn't find any bad review.

Don't tell me this is ridiculous, I can't hear you : I'm in love.

Now guess who's my Valentine ?

Next paycheck... she'll be mine, all mine...

The suspense, the drama. I don't know how I'm gonna make through the week. Time to lay in store some adult beverages.

Stimovsky, I had used a LCT with the index bar removed, as a single stage press for a number of years with good results for both pistol and rifle but when I started measuring and tweaking shoulder setback on 30-06 and 7.5x55 Swiss I found the results weren't as good as I thought. I decided to buy a Rockchucker and then saw a member on this forum who was selling a T-7. After researching it and not finding any bad reviews I bought it and have never looked back. It's absolutely rock solid and whatever minuscule amount of flex there is has been designed into the press and accounted for. This is per the senior Redding tech who by the way is outstanding, as I had the slight misfortune of finding out.

The only drawback is the cost of spare turrets, which is $65-70 each. If you're ok with swapping out the dies you won't need any but I like to have all of my dies in place on the turrets.

The press has been on sale on and off recently so keep watching and you should be able to pick up a new one for $260-275. You don't see them often in the WTS ads but if you stumble on one, you should be able to pick it up for $200-225.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about it.

For what the OP does a LCT or Dillon 550B would fit the bill. I would skip over the headaches he listed as presses. If you want a progressive than buy a XL650. I've had most of the presses on the market and still own the two I originally suggested. The others all went down the road due to one problem or another.

At a minimum the OP should buy a Lee Classic Cast single stage. I have a JR3 and still use it. But FL sizing is a chore due to the linkage design. The LCC is the best single stage on the market right now.
