Hey guys I have a cracked weld on my AMD-65 that I'm gonna re weld tomorrow. My father in law has a 110 volt mig gun that I'm gonna borrow to make the repair. I'm a boilermaker/welder so squirting a few tacks shouldn't be a problem for me. The brake had one factory weld on the bottom side that cracked, I'm not even going to fool with removing and repairing that tack, I'm just going to put a new tack on the left and right side of the muzzle brake. I think that should be good enough, what do yall think? Also what kind of paint will I need to cover the paint stripped spots? Some kind of high temp stuff? Anything else that I need to put on the new welds to prevent rust or corosion? THanks for any info.
