IMDB (International Movie Database) is censoring my posts on ignorant anti-gunners

IMDB has been deleting my posts that have anything to do with guns. There is a movie called "Elephant" which depicts the Columbine massacre and there is a scene that shows the teenagers ordering the gun on the internet and having it shipped directly to their house. This has caused a lot of confusion and people on IMDB are saying "What kind of country do we live in where kids can get a gun online?" I responded explaining how the gun has to be shipped to an FFL and then a background check is done and identification present, also explanation of 4473. The posts are deleted and state "The post has been removed by the Administrator" or something to that effect. Anyone else had something similar happen to them?

The simple fact that these people have that movie on their page should tell you what kind of agenda they are serving.

I am not at all surprised that they deleted your informative posts. How else are they going to strike fear into the hearts and minds of the Sheeple???

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that IMDB is a site dedicated to information about every movie ever made.

That said, the intelligence of IMDB discussions, for the most part, is only a few levels above Youtube comments.

MisANTHrope's correct, it's precence on that site probably had more to do with it being a movie then it's content. and for that matter the comments on Elephant more seem to center on it being a bad movie then the guns. The one question on buying a gun seemed as accurate as one could hopefor on a movie database. What exactly was in your post?

No, it's not possible the way it's depicted in the movie. You cannot buy a gun online and have it shipped to your house. You have to have it sent to a licensed gun dealer, who then performs the federal background check, as well as any other local requirements (waiting period, validating firearms id card, local background check). After all that's done you pay the local dealer a transfer fee ($20-$50) and take the gun home

Some were wrong, but I didn't get any outright bias from them.

I was never warned about it, however I did attempt to send a user contribution on the "errors/goofs" section stating that the scene portraying a firearm being ordered on the internet and shipped directly to the teenagers house was inaccurate and it was rejected.

Also I am not positive how to contact the admins on IMDB, it was just removed without explanation.

A site dedicated to providing information about the most liberal industry on the planet doesn't allow posts with actual accurate information about gun lawn in the US? Say it isn't so!

Stupidity and unethical behavior should both hurt.

I just went to the comment page and found this post. The date of the post is March 5. So either they are not catching them all, or they are just searching your comments and deleting them. At least someone who knows what is up has posted. All hope is not lost on IMDB. LOL

hope that people who watch this movie do not believe that this is a way you can buy a gun online. To purchase a firearm on the internet, you first have to give a drivers license to the buyer, pay for it with a credit card, and then do a background check through a local gunshop. The gun is then SHIPPED TO THE GUNSHOP, where, if you did pass the back ground check and are over 18 for a rifle, 21 for a pistol, you may receive the gun.

NO GUN CAN BE SHIPPED DIRECTLY TO A PERSON, IT MUST ONLY BE SHIPPED TO A FEDERALLY LICENSED DEALER.

csmkersh - your post is interesting, especially what is highlighted in red and CAPiTALISED. Only one ever so small, miniscule, slight problem ... It's wrong!

Two days ago, FedEx delivered a M1 rifle to my front door. No FFL was involved. I just sent money and paperwork to a civilian company and they sent me the gun. Go to odcmp.com and buy one for yourself. It's one of the best deals going.

Poprivit, I'm aware that it's not 100% correct. CMP routinely ships directly to the buyer. Guns repaired or modified are also routinely returned directly to the owner. The OP was upset over what he trhought was censorship of posts that are pro-gun. Also, I didn't make the post at IMDB, I merely cited it and provided a link....
