This one isn't a joke.
This article scared me to death when I read it. We used to live just down the street from this place and we filled up there numerous times. My wife is about the same age and our children are similar, as well.
I am not quite sure how to express my feelings on this one. Anger and hate, maybe. It is always hard when the victim is so similar to a loved one. Hopefully this will make us all a little more concientious of our surroundings.

That's terrible . . . .

About 8 years ago here in Illinois a woman was beaten to death in her own car (and sexually assaulted I believe) at a rest stop that my wife had used 100's of times because we drove the road weekly. The coroner told the local paper that it had probably taken 10-15 minutes of beating before she was killed. It drove me nuts for quite awhile even though I didn't know that woman from Adam. I don't remember ever hearing that anyone was caught for that crime either.
