My birthday got me a case of this IMR 8208 XBR. I would sure appreciate your thoughts on this stuff. Also, what bullet would you mate it with? It was bought for me for .223's. Last. I also got a 6.5 Creedmoor shooter and wanted to give a shout out to MCMXI. WOW! Would I would love to spend a few days with you! I was looking for an emoji that was something like a student sitting at the feet of the master. Thanks for the post! I just got retired and now have the time with this wonderful hobby. Thanks all.

8208 XBR worked well for me. I prefer TAC or BlC(2) for .223 but the 8208 was close and might have been as good if I spent more time dialing in the load. I think you will be happy with it.
I used it with 55 and 62gr bullets. Hodgdon lists loads for 36 to 90 gr bullets on their site, so they show a load with every bullet weight they list for .223.

It's a very good powder for the 223 and 308 . Bullet would depend on barrel twist . I've loaded it for my AR as well as a 308 bolt gun . I only had a pound so I don't have extensive data but I was able to shoot some very small groups both with heavy bullets for caliber . 75gr 223 & 175+Gr 308 .

Also it is very temperature stable maybe one of the best on the market .

I loaded it up behind some 53gr SGK this past week. I'm headed to the range next Saturday so I can let you know. From the reviews I've seen it seems decent so I decided I'd try it. Only data I could find on it was from the Hodgdon website. No other books listed it.

Ditto what MG said, except I haven't loaded any .223 bullets heavier than 62gr nor any 308s other than 168gr.

8208 is an excellent powder for .223
I have worked it up with 55-62-68-69-75-77gr bullets.
All performed excellent, but I mostly use it for the heavier 68-77gr options now, as most of my 55gr loads are for 3gun or plinking where I am not looking for the utmost accuracy. For 55gr I use H-335 mostly.
I like 8208 so much, when I find it in stock locally, I will buy some even if I don't need it.
If my stockpile gets below 10lbs, I start getting a little nervous. :)
