IMR4007 ssc for .300wsm?

Has anyone used IMR 4007ssc for the .300WSM? or for any other caliber? I am looking for some advice on what bullet is a good match for that powder that i could possibly use for hunting. I currently have 150, 168, and 180 Nosler Ballistic Tips as well as some 180 grain Sierra Game Kings. any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. It seems like this powder is not very popular but i would like to hear from THR...

4007ssc??

Well I tried it in 300 win mag. It ran into very high pressure BEFORE getting close to max load. Heavy bolt lift, expanded case heads, and primers that were very easy to seat upon reloading that brass. In fact, the primers could be un-seated by tapping the brass heads on my bench!

This was in a re-barreled Mauser action, could be a tighter chamber? But other loads behaved like they should. Ended up using AA-4350 for the Hornady GMX 180 grainers.

I also have a Browning A-bolt in 300 WSM. I should try it someday, but I have good loads already, why wear out a barrel?

My 300 WSM does well using IMR 4007 using 150 Grain bullets. Fairly decent with 165 Gr bullets. IMR 4007 is a fairly new powder so that may explain why it is not very popular.

Haven't tried this powder with 180 Gr bullets. Assumed it might be a little on the fast side for 180 Gr bullets.

Looking at Hodgdon's info it should have excellent velocity with 150 grain bullets and on par with others in the 180 grain class. The 4350 powders and the new RL 17 should probably be very good for this caliber also. This is a new powder that I have been thinking about trying in other calibers, but have not yet. I am currently trying newer powders such as RL17, Hybrid 100V, and 8028 XBR for various calibers and found that they have been nice additions to the old stand bys. It takes time for the new powders to develop a following.

Your bullet selection is great for medium game and I think that you are on the right track with them.
