I got myself in trouble on another forum because "inline" is not traditional, so I appeal to blackpowder shooters.....I have a Traditions pursuit that I got last year along with some plastic skirted sabots and triple 7 powder pellets, I was looking for the proper type of round to use in this rifle it was suggested plastic or copper skirts (or whatever you call them) not the way to go, that a reg conical is the ticket, anybody have experience with these? I know nothing of the terminologies that go along with these blackpowder guns (why I got in trouble) hopefully Im in the right place, if not.....sorry up front.....well not "sorry"...

Powerbelts you mean.

They are fine, if you push them to fast they can/will fragment on heavy bone.

I like the 295's as they really have shot well in all my guns over the years. Recently have switched to the 250gr Powerbelt Aerolite.

Powerbelts are actually conicals. That plastic skirt is a gas seal and also holds the bullet in place while in the barrel.

Are you allowed to use sabots in the ozark mountains?

First thing i would do is DITCH the pellets as they just suck.

That is a good question, perhaps I should find out! That looks identical to the those I shot through it last year (I only got 3). Put two of the pellets then the slug, not even sure that was right. What powder should I use, in your opinion, Sir?

Blackhorn209 without a doubt!

Zero swabbing between shots, shoot as many as 60 rounds before you tire and never have a tight spot, consistent in size and weight. I have a guy selling it to members for $27 a can SHIPPED.

Once you try the stuff, everything will be considered garbage LOL.

I know this is a stupid question but is it possible to use the same powder in the inline and my pietta .44 (brass frame) if so what would that be? Im one of those minimal living, dont have alot of cash weirdos.

For that gun, you'll want the cci 209 magnum primers when shooting blackhorn. Muzzleloading primers like the remington kleanbore, winchester 777 primers, cci inline MZL primers, wont do the job. It will hang fire due to those primers not having the heat thats needed to set the BH209 off.
