I finally found someone willing to part with their Kahr K9, and even better than that, they were looking for a gun that I had no interest in keeping and went with a strait trade. Win win baby! It has the elite trigger with wood grips (no idea who made them, but they fit the gun like a glove). I haven't been to the range yet, but boy oh boy does it feel nice in the hand. I was worried that after getting used to my cz that the K9 would feel too slim, but the ergonomics are fantastic. I'm a HUGE fan of all steel guns, and after years of searching, I found another great one.

If anyone who's familiar with the K9 has any ammo or holster suggestions, I'd gladly entertain them!

I have a CM9 so I'm already a fan of Kahr pistols. Haven't seen that many of the all metal guns but I understand them to be very well built and great for CCW. Photos when you get a chance.

I have no gun or holster suggestions, or even experience with Kahrs.

Just giving a like for the excellent thread name ;)
The thread name is indeed most excellent. Made me chuckle, for sure.

I have no ammo or holster suggestions, but congratulations! (I love a good trade.)

I'm interested in getting a Kahr for carry purposes so I will be watching this thread with interest.

Having sais that...

I think it was Old Abe Lincoln that said (paraphrase) "the hen is the wisest of all creation as she doesn't cackle until the egg is laid".

I wish you nothing but success with your new firearm.

Kahr's are interesting firearms. The long smooth trigger allows the shooter to get into a nice rhythm while shooting rapid fire strings. My PM9 has been a flawless performer.

I have a number of Kahr pistols... including a new-to-me CW45 on the way. I carry one daily.

Best belt holster I've found is the High Noon... it carries the pistol up high, has a slide guard, and works very well even without a retention strap. I liked it so much, I bought another for my 1911. The Kahr holster is lined, the 1911 unlined. I was trying to eliminate bulk with the bigger pistol, but I should have bought a lined holster. Just FYI.

My daily carry holster is a Galco IWB holster... that I don't really have a picture of.

My other holster is an Alessi shoulder holster that I typically wear when travelling... it's easier to access the pistol while setting in the truck seat, and certainly more comfortable. I have an Alessi for the 1911 that I've used for 25 years or so, one for the Kahr was a natural...

Congratulations on the Kahr! I’ve had a K9 for 16 years and has been my back up gun and edc for as many. I have put thousands of rounds through it without a hiccup. Most of those rounds were +P duty rounds. I carry it in a Galco IWB holster and a Galco ankle holster.

Dang it! Now the music from the show is stuck in my head!! :fire:...

Kahr pistols have always been, IMHO, very well made and easy to operate. Excellent pick up!

Stay safe!

I have had two Kahr CW-9`s for several years now. And I Pocket Carry one with a Crimson Trace Laser Sight in a Desantis Pocket Holster most every day. In warm weather in my right front pocket of my cargo shorts in the winter in my jacket or coat pocket. IMHO my CW-9`s are just about perfect for a CC gun. At least they are for me. They are extremely accurate and very easy to shoot, and I think their triggers are just fantastic. I shoot both of my Kahr CW-9`s & my S&W 640-1 everytime I go to the range. I am extremely satisfied with all three of these guns

I would love to have that MK. Pricey though. I am sure well worth it. Beautiful gun. I hear they shoot very well. Thanks for the pic. By the way, what grip is that on your 642?
None of those are mine. I stole those pics from the internet. Only the gun in my first post is mine.

I have an older K9 with the black finish and it does fit me like a glove. I have two holsters made for my S&W Shield that fit the Kahr K9 perfectly.

Ditto on the all metal Kahr pistols. Mine is a NAA branded guardian in 32 NAA, but made by Kahr. Long DAO trigger, but its smooth. I always carried it loose in my pocket, but it's a bit smaller than yours.

Internet photo, its the little one on the bottom

Great little NAA. I had the exact one in .380 many years ago. A very well built, solid gun. I didn't know that Kahr made them. Did Kahr buy them out, or just import them?

I'm not entirely sure. On the front "drivers side" of mine is a laser etched Kahr logo. Mines 15-20 years old.

EDIT: apparently Kahr made the frames of the early guardian pistols. I dont know when the changes happened, but I read NAA is now making their own frames.

K9's are awesome. I bought one for my girlfriend to get her started on a centerfire, as the medium size and all steel frame seemed a good fit for her. I ended up putting night sights on it and carrying it myself until she got her CCW permit. Now I carry a shield, and like the lighter weight but still kind of miss the k9.
