Not sure what to make of this, but was driving up to Des Moines today, and on a lark, decided to detour to Grinell to visit Brownell's retail store. Warehouse is HUGE, but retail store only slightly larger than Graf's retail store, as far as retail space is concerned, but a lot of empty space, so actual merchandise on the floor about the same. Only place I've ever been that had close to as many AR rifles in the racks as the Amory at Whiteman AFB.
But what caught my eye was the counter than had primers. Large rifle, small rifle, large pistol, small pistol and Cheddite 209. Website says out of stock.....yet they had close to 20 bricks of each on the floor.
Have noticed something similar at Graf's with powders. Website says out of stock. Eyeball observes dozens of powders in the back corner powder cabinet.....powders you pick up in your hand, place on the counter......pay for and walk out the door with.
Wonder why the disconnect?
Bottom line is if you have a local retail store than used to handle reloading components......and you are looking for same, may pay to give them a visit. No telling what you might find.
