Info for Ohio Wal*Mart ammo shoppers.

FYI: Today at a local Wal*Mart (north of Columbus on Rt. 23) I bought two 100 count WWB 9mm boxes of ammo. Each cost $12.88. The manager at the gun/hunting counter told me as of January 1, 2007 all ammo is going up 30%. So, that price will increase to $16.74 per 100. He also said only three stores in the state (Ohio) will be selling firearms. Better stock up now on ammo or purchase that rifle/shotgun. If Nancy Pelosi (D) gets her way I'm sure a limit on ammo is on her list to change. Again, I'm just passing this along as it was received from the departmental manager.

After the 1000 different variations of the "where did the guns go" in walmart haven't we learned by now that walmart employees are not a reliable source of whats actually happening in walmart?

I guess when they're not pushing around $6 per hour geriatric shelf stockers or 18 year old $8 per hour assistant managers they have plenty of time to travel into the future and bring back reports on Pelosi's nefarious plots.

They have boxes of Remington .300 Weatherby Magum and .45/70 on clearance at my local Walmart at steep discounts. Probably not much demand for either of those cartridges.

Walmart is not a trusted source of ammunition, too many variables to deal with.

I am not so sure about them being anti-gun as so much more "why are we wasting this floor space for very few sales.","Why don't we remove the guns and put another bin of 5 dollar DVD's and a rack of popcorn there?".

Here in Montana, I don't live close enough to an "X" mart of any type to go do any looking. If I drive by one, that is just it, I drive by.

You can get milsurp ammo and used guns infinitely cheaper from gun shows and the web. Its also a hell of a lot better for the economy that shopping at the clearing house for china's crap.
