Info on Browning A-Bolt .22lr?

I bought a used Browning A-Bolt .22lr today and I can't find alot of info on them. How can you tell the difference between the gold medallion and the standard? Was there a I and a II? What weaver style bases would I use to mount a scope? I'll take any info to help me know about my purchase. Thanks.

They produced Medallions and Gold Medallions. The Gold had gold in the engraving on the receiver and brass spacers by the rosewood grip and forearm cap.
