[Hawaiian Boar Hunter]

Does anyone know the value of a J. Manton & Company 20 gauge double barrel side by side 27 inch Damascus Barrel Shotgun marked "London Fine Twist" Serial Number 8377? I'd appreciate any info. Thanks!

AFAIK, Manton guns were engraved "Joseph Manton/London". The name "J.Manton" was put on inexpensive Belgian guns to deceive buyers into thinking they were getting a quality English gun. Other similar deceptive markings included "Charles Webley", "W.W. Greemer", and "W. Richards". "London Fine Twist" was another fake marking; the barrels never were anywhere near London. In any case, they are Damascus and I strongly recommend that the gun not be fired with any ammunition.
