I just got an Interarms Mark X in 458win mag. I am having trouble removing the stock from the action. It has an recoil lug do you have to drive out the lug or is it just realy tight?
Do NOT try to drive out the crossbolt (lug)! The crossbolt has a 'cap' screwed onto either end, that secure it in the stock. I'd suggest GENTLY tapping on the muzzle with a rubber/plastic/rawhide mallet, once you remove the trigger guard screws.
If it's like the Mark X Whitworth, it has two recoil lugs, one on the action and one on the barrel. These are glassed in and tight. Try the plastic/rubber hammer as noted.
