$550 and I have it home! And it came with 516 rounds of commercial brass case ammo, and 100 once fired! I am blown away by how nice this thing is! I bought ammo and got a gun for free! I will get it out to the range and get some better pictures too. It ended up being a FN commercial action. Still can't believe I picked this up for 550...

Kinda jealous right now... Nice deal on a sweet rifle. Hope she shoots as good as she Looks!!

If you figure a very conservative $10 a box for commercial ammo, that's over $250 right there. So $300 for a nice rifle, yeah, I'd have definitely done that.

Nice score!

20 Hornady Superperformance 180gr is $58 here so he basically would have payed you to take the rifle, which is not far from market value here.

What you loose on the swings etc.

We're have expensive ammo but used guns are cheap

A bunch of the ammo is cheap herters 150grn, but at least its brass. The rest is rem or Federal, so even good brass for reloading. Got to get a better recoil pad to replace the old hardened one on there, but that isn't a big deal. I have those old white lines on a few guns, it just time to get a bunch of butt pads and replace them all.

Reloading popular i Sverige, or are supplies regulated?

It's quite popular, no regulations on re-loading supplies with the exception that you need to show a firearms licens to buy powder and primers.
You can have 20 kg of ammo at home together with 5 kg of primers or powder in cans, that's net explosive weight so just powder and fulminates.
If you want to have bigger stores you need a fire proof safe and a permit from the city counsel which includes a visit from the fire department to check it.

One important thing is that you are never able to transfer self loaded ammo, you can't even let someone fire your rifle with them due to liability issues.
Basically, you're welcome to blow your own face off but you're not allowed to risk someone else's.
You can help them load their own as long as they pull the lever themselves, then it's their own risk.
In practice not many knows or cares about that, I've shot my fathers reloads up till now, but I have to fend for myself from now on.

If you want to make a living out of it you can however apply for a license to produce ammunition and load for others which basically set you up as a competitor to Norma and Lapua. (fees and certs aren't cheap)
There are quite a few people who does this for some extra income or to reduce the cost of their own ammo.
So you can order bespoke ammo if you want.
