Funny how they didn't mention what any full rifle round would do to such a vest.
I wonder why they don't start crying about cheaply made, inexpensive, widely available Mosin-Nagants floating around.

maybe it was just me..but did you notice how light the recoil on it was..of course that fella shooting it was pretty stout ..but compared to 40sw and 9mm the FN looked like it barely had any muzzle rise at all...interesting.. when i first saw this gun several yrs ago i wondered what the recoil would be like
if i lived out in middle of nowhere , where overpenetration isnt a concern..that might be a great home defense gun for sure..20rnds is pretty sweet, and i bet that sucker would get the job done..prb might want to keep a good attornys number handy as well

For murderers, rapists, child abductors, and other sex offenders.
I will give up my gun when the ender paid, under manned and under funded cops arrive before the crime is committed and prevent it.
You are naive to think that these sort of people give a crap about your laws. They are the only ones that these laws protect. If your system works, how come the areas that have the strictest gun control have the highest crime rate?
But that is OK, I dont discriminate. While your head is burried in the sand, I will cover your other end, regardless of who you are or what you believe.

The brady center apparently does not like the dura coat finishes either.
Besides if you are were going to shoot a cop, why shoot them in the vest? So the brady people have guns and are allowed to bash them all they want but they still have guns to do their goober science tests with? I dont understand that.

Errm, does anyone know just how many times the Police have come up against an FN Five-Seven? I'm willing to bet it's not a common occurrence.

what i thought exactly. A huge problem today is that criminals are getting a hold of kevlar vests. i mean if you remember the LAPD shootout, the 'MAIN' problem wasn't that they had automatic weapons, it was that all the shots they did have just bounced off their kevlar like it was nothing. they need weapons like the fiveseven and proper training to do so
since kevlar is available to the public and criminals, maybe we should ban that too
itd stop a 10mm, but 357sig would probably have the same characteristics of a 7.62mm Tokarev (which does have a pretty good effect against body armor) although the 5.7 would outperform it as far as penetration goes and damage afterwards. plus the higher velocity 357 sig is definetely harder to control than the 5.7 and alot larger

I was thinking about the FiveseveN but I figure I'll just try to get more proficient with the CZ 52. Don't have a grand to spend on a new toy.

What’s to stop a BG from shooting a cop in the head? If most shooting happen in a short distance, then a head shot would not be too hard to accomplish. You could also be in a lot of pain or even killed taking a round to the upper thy region or the waist area just below the vest. I just don’t understand the thought process in these people. :banghead:

There is practically no felt recoil. It's about the same as shooting a .22lr pistol, maybe just a little more recoil. Fun stuff.

my brain hurts....so many things are so ridiculous. when he didn't chamber a round, that was funny. when he says the bullet "looks like" a bullet from an AK...you are dumb motherF*^er. so does pretty much every rifle round, its called spitzer you moron. i always wondered why they couldn't create gun laws that protect responsible gun owners and punish the irresponsible...now i know why, because these are the people leading the way.
