Question for this board.

Does anyone know or have a list of various 'scout scopes' with intermediate eye relief?

Specifically has anyone ever seen an IER Prism Scope?
Thanks.

Leupold and Burris are the two most popular. Leatherwood has one, along with some lower tier manufactures.

I currently use a Leupold VX-2 2.5x28mm IER scope and will test it out as soon as my rifle is built. It is very light weight and, from what I have seen so far, has decent glass for $325. I chose it over Burris because of the warrenty and aesthetics.

I don't know what an IER Prism Scope is though.

Flame away, but too many people using the 4x NcStar pistol scope convinced me to try on the cheap. It has taken more than a little use and abuse but has stayed dead on.

I've tried the pistol scope in the scout mount set up on two rifles. The eye relief was just too long starting at about 11" to 12". I had to keep my head unnaturally far back on the stock to use that set up. :(

I read quite a lot about other shooters using the NC Star for scout set ups and how it could take a beating and was right on as to eye relief. Was a doubting Thomas, but bought one and it was dead on for me, I now have them on three rifles.

You are probably right on NCStar eye relief. Per their specs, their pistol scopes have shorter eye relief than many other brands. They ought to just call them scout scopes! :D

Thanks all. I'll look into that NCStar scope.

But I wanted a Prism in IER just to have a nice fixed power illuminated scope.
