Interstate transfer to IL

I live in IL on the border with Iowa. If there's someone across the river who has a handgun I want to buy, it has to go through an FFL in Illinois. That much I know. What I'm wondering is can the seller deliver it in person to the Illinois FFL? Or do they have to go to an FFL in Iowa and have them send it to the Illinois FFL?

It can be done three different ways.

The Iowa resident can deliver it in person to your Illinois FFL dealer.

The Iowa resident can send it themself to your Illinois FFL dealer.

The Iowa resident can have a Iowa FFL dealer send it to your Illinois FFL dealer.


Ask your Illinois FFL dealer, which method he/she perfers to deal with.
